Well I doubt very much that affected the Forest Service decision to
rescind the Closure Order. The forest service doesn't get a cent from
the hunting licenses, that's the Department of Fish & Game.

I do believe the local businesses put a lot of pressure on the forest
service to reopen as they make lots of $$$$ from the hunters.

So was it the best thing for the forest? or was it a purely economic
decision?  I lean toward the latter.

this isn't to say I personally an not unhappy the forest's have reopened

I will say IMO since day one the forest service has always put economic
interests ahead of forest health.
