[pct-l] southern oregon border conditions help

We are planning a launch   from cal-oregon border northward on June 2. Is 
the road from I-5 to to where the PCT enters Oregon drivable in a 2WD 
vehicle. This is the road that goes past the MT Ashalnd ski area and 
includes forest road-20  I believe. We drove this road last august and know 
the way. Is there snow there now? Where can I check this out.    Thanks
