I've found that e-tickets work pretty well.  I always carry the email or 
form from the web site just in case there's some numbers on there that might 
be useful.  But I've never had a problem.  Just make sure you have a 
government issued pictue ID (or better yet, check with the airline on what 
form of ID you need).
