water was to wrap
the bottles in a wet bandanna. The evaporation keeps the water from
becoming boiling hot in the sun. Peace and Love, Matt"

I expect that would work pretty well, because I remember about 30 years ago,
I visited Syria. During a visit to a community in the dessert, we stayed at
a home that had no running water, and the temperature outside was well over
100 degrees. The family kept their water in large clay barrels that allowed
the water to seep through the clay and keep the outside of the pots wet.
They told me that was how they kept their drinking water cool. It seemed to
work very well.
