Monty,
I was just ribbing you. You are right about the cost of making them
yourself. I've been making my own stuff sacks for a long time out of
silnylon scraps. Still, a lot of people are not willing to make their own
gear (even something as simple as a stuff sack). I don't mean any criticism
of Z-Packs but 40 bucks for a stuff sack is a lot.
Quest Outfitters is a pretty cool company. I didn't realize that they
existed. I am currently planning a 2008 PCT hike with my new fiance and I
will definitely be checking them out when I get around to making some gear.
If anyone on the list is looking for a fabric source this website looks
excellent.
Peace and Love,
Wafflecone
