I too enjoy these, although they are hard to pack into a bear canister since they do not compress AT ALL. You can flatten them by stepping on them, but you break a lot of the pices that way.

I have stopped carrying the Lasagna. I rate the taste as "good" but the cheese they use makes a very nasty, stringly mess that does not dissolve properly. I've had this happen with several different batches.

My personal taste ratings:

I rate as Excellent the Rice and Chicken (560 calories), the Sweet and Sour Pork (550 calories), the ChiliMac with Beef (500 calories), and the Spaghetti with Meat Sauce (490 calories). Between these four, I am a happy camper night after night.

I rate as Good the Stroganoff; a bit salty for me but otherwise good and 520 calories.

I rate as poor the Beef Stew (480 calories) and Chicken Teryaki (460 calories).

I have not had the chance to try the newest addition, Mexican Rice and Chicken as I have yet to see it anywhere.
