Note that the above image is for the period Jan/Feb/March (the "JFM"
abbreviation).   Their forecast for the northwest states is actually for
*below* median rainfall in the June through November period --- the time
when most NOBO thru's actually get up into the NW.

I agree that the "La Nina" pattern suggests another warmer and drier winter
than usual in SoCal. Maybe overall 2008 will be similar to what folks
encountered this year (?).
