Geez, Ron, you sure brought back a memory. At the very first PCT session I
ever went to, at ALDHA in 1985 (there was no ALDHA-west then), the
presenter, Andy Coone, made a huge point out of the need to be flexible when
hiking the PCT. He really stressed it above equipment, logistics, etc. I
wasn't sure of the spelling of Andy's last name so I just dug in my 1985 log
and found:
"I remember Andy Coone telling me, before I started the PCT, that the one
thing you had to be is flexible, willing to adjust."
A few miles later, I gotta agree with you... and Andy, wherever he is these
days. :)
