Hey Monty,

I think this works  both ways!  Last year hiking north to Warner Springs before KO, I encountered a guy by the name of Monty with two good looking women hiking southbound to KO.  When I asked if he was the infamous WS Monty, he smiled and said, "Nope, I'm the other Monty, Mad Monte".  I felt fortunate to meet Monty Dodge near that wonderful large boulder overhang just south of Scissors Crossing as I found his photos and stories of his 1977 thru-hike to be some of the all-time best!
