Subject: Fire fighters
As a member of a rural, forested county in extreme northern California, I understand what fire fighters mean to a community. They save our homes, our lands and our towns and our livelihoods. They come from all over the nation to work to save lives and homes in places they'd never even heard of till the fire brought them there. They are hard working men and women who willingly place themselves in harms way; routinely risking their own lives. They wear many different uniforms as fire fighters and I for one never care what agency's name is on their shoulder or caps. They are to be treated with admiration and respect at all times. They are true saviors and heroes. May the families, friends and fire community bear their grief as best they can. May you know you are not alone.
