I asked the seller of the most recent copy where they got the book and this was their response:

"I bought it a couple weeks ago, I don't hike but though it was an interesting book, I was going to keep it, but decided to sell it. I like the maps and illustrations. I have alot of old books. Blieve it or not I found it at a yard sale!!!!!! "

So it appears as though they had found.
