[pct-l] Fires in Oregon

No fires that I'm aware of near the Oregon PCT, but it's supposed to hit the high 80's by Wednesday, 90°+ by Friday and 100°+ on Saturday here in Portland. Can you say "good-bye snow"?

The area around Crater Lake, especially the north side going across the sand flats towards Mt Thielson and Diamond Lake, is loaded with dead Lodgepole Pine. All it needs is one spark.

There's nothing to be done about it, so hike on. Just remember to be extra careful with your cooking stove.
