I met a hiker who shuttled the PCT. He had a motorcycle in the back of his pickup truck. He'd drive the truck to the north end of the section then ride the cycle back to the south from where he'd walk north to the truck. He'd get in the truck, drive back to pick up the cycle, and head for the next northern point.

He did say he was careful to conceal the motorcycle back out of sight of the trail. The truck was old and so didn't make such an alluring target.
