As Wandering Bob said......''You have to be very careful how you
enterpretate statistics''.
Back in the old days a study on fertility indicated that statistics showed
that straw heads enhanced fertility because pregnancies greatly increased in
the Spring & Summer when  men were wearing straw heads. The study failed to
connect the increase in pregnancies to the real culprit.....the warm
weather, the flowers and the meadows which created a more inviting
atmosphere for romance.
So maybe that is why our slower hikers always advocate sauntering in the
meadows and smelling flowers.
