[pct-l] Mountain Education's Spam Schedule

I have just recently joined this forum because I have - for a very long time now - wanted to hike the PCT. Thru hike it to be exact. I had decided that that may never happen, so I have started by doing day hikes and will expand to sections. I joined this forum with the idea that I could glean information for future use from the "experts" that have done the PCT and more. I have been reading the posts for the last few weeks and I have gotten some useful information. But, unfortunately, I do not understand the seeming rankling that I have read here and for that I will take my leave of this forum and look for information elsewhere.

I could not care less how long you have known these individuals, Bob; the
PCT means a heck of a lot more to me than something that should be pimped
out by clever entrepreneurs, regardless how much street cred you give them
in your little circle of friends.

Maybe you guys should get a hobby or something and leave the PCT to those of
us who just want to hike it for the sake of hiking, instead of creating yet
another manmade structure of society and hammering it to a trail upon which
it does not belong.
