[pct-l] Section hiker finish

Gutsy phoned from a Bridgeport, CA motel today.  She completed her section hike of the PCT today, with 900 miles this year--Willamette Pass to Manning Park and Donner Pass to Sonora Pass.  Minimart hiked with her from Echo Lake to Sonora Pass, but I think he resupplied at Kennedy Meadow North and will continue SOBO.
 
What's next?  Probably the CDT, but she wants me to do it with her, even if it means only 2 weeks per year.  In the meantime, she plans to resume her substitute teaching and her "grandmothering."
 
I mailed her cell phone to the motel a few days ago, and it arrived there yesterday.  Tomorrow she will take the Inyo Mono Transit bus to the Reno airport, then she'll fly to Atlanta, where I'll meet her.   
 
It was a good journey by an amazing woman.  Many thanks to all who pitched in to help!  Pooh even provided the guidebook for section J, as well as a ride from the Truckee bus stop to the PCT.  I've been sharing her progress with co-workers, and they are amazed at the whole long distance hiking experience--the resources available, the logistics hurdles, the physical and mental challenges, and the community of hikers helping hikers.  Thank you, PCT-L, for being there!!!
