[pct-l] Alcohol in an open dish

Hi Tom Reynolds, Regarding that open dish of burning alcohol. I tried what
you did but used different sorts of Alcohol stoves. A strange result I got
is that if you put a pot ofer that nice blue alcohol flame, you would notice
that it gets a bunch of soot all over it. If on the other hand you put a
nice new pot over an Alcohol stove that has a limited air opening, you would
have an orangy-blue flame but you would not get a speck of soot. Sounds
strange doesn't it, but I've tried it many times - have been experimenting
with alcohol stoves for a month.
