FYI, Henry Shires alerted me to the Aiwa CR-LA30 AM/FM radio.  It weighs 
about 1.5 oz. and works beautifully.  I'm busy paring down my equipment list 
weight to a minimum (can anyone report on GoLite gear yet?) so this item is 
up for judgement, but it's so good and also light that it'll probably stay.
