From the great northeast; dry gas and gas line antifreeze are the same
thing, at least in this area. The purpose is that auto gas and water (from
condensation in the gas tank) will not mix, but alcohol will mix with both,
keeping the water from freezing in your gas line, and allowing the mix to
be burned out of the system.  As to whether or not there's other additives
in the dry gas, or if it's the same thing as the stuff from the hardware
store, I can't tell you.... Any chemistry majors out there?
