[pct-l] Plans

If only I could settle in on just a Plan A or a Plan B, it would make my
life a lot less painful....

I've found that if I look at atlases or maps, my whole being gets involved,
and sooner or later, I'm jumping off yet another cliff into a new
irreversible adventure. If I read interesting books, ditto. So Plan A is
never sufficient, because I keep getting in my own way.

But I'm also addicted to a good intellectual computer / research project,
and Plan B doesn't suffice because cruising along with no intellectual
challenge is brain-deadening, and the isolated intellectual challenge of
reading the classics isn't enough.

When I was a kid, my family lived Plan A, and as a result, we went on some
neat adventures in Maine, Vermont, California, Canada, and also had a
decent place to live that was clean and had enough room for five people.
But I don't have my parent's very effective ability to maintain Plan A,
even though it brings many advantages for many people, including me.

So I still haven't found a contented approach to life. But! I have had
many, many interesting adventures and experiences, things that other people
only dream of. I dreamed of them too, but decided the fufillment of the
dream was worth the price I had to pay.

I wonder if the PCT falls into that category....

I've found that a really good way to keep myself form sending email
prematurely is to fill in the "To..." field only after I have finished and
reviewed my message. @ - )
