Thanks to all those that responded to my intial posting looking for hikers
interested in taking part in my proposed research on the PCT in 2000. I've
just returned from presenting my research at the ALDHA-West gathering, so I
have not had time to read and respond to all you interested in my research.
The gathering was a great time full of that community feeling. As a
nutritionist, the most common question I got was about the nutritional value
of corn pasta. I am researching this and will post what I can find out. Once
again, anyone hiking the PCT in 2000 and interested in finding out about my
research project that will study the changes in the bodies of long-distance
back-packers and how they relate to the diet please drop me an e-mail at
pctresearch@hotmail.com. I am hoping to get a web page up that will explain
my research in more detail, just as soon as I learn how to do so. Look for
