I'll put my own experience with TelMail in here, if I may. Mine lived in
my drift box, and I loved having it. It allowed me to stay in touch
whenever I hit resupply towns, to email my journals to the friend who
was maintaining my website, and be supported by friends and family with
no phone bills. I loved it and didn't need to carry it. It was well
worth the added postage, however much it was.
