I have been drinking water from the creeks along the PCT since 1978.  I naturally take unnecessary risks on the trail for convenience.  The only time I contracted Giardia was one March 10 years ago, after not having  had the opportunity to drink questionalbe water for 7 months.  Must have kissed my doggie one time too much.
