Re: [pct-l] My favorite part of the PCT

That's a tough one. Usually, it's whatever place I've hiked most
recently. Still, there's plenty of others I like.

California Section K, just west of Tahoe, is one of my favorites
because that's where I used to hike with my dad as a kid. Goat Rocks
in southern Washington certainly deserves mention. The Suiattle (sp?)
Valley leading into Stehekin is also spectacular. I suppose if I had
to pick a favorite place, it'd be the stretch from the Big Horn
Plateau to Forrester Pass (H2-H3). The huge scale of the surrounding
scenery is enough to litterally take ones breath away.

Now, if I were to pick my favorite _part_ of the trail, it'd be the
people I've met along the trail. Whether it's the people I've hiked
with or folks that I've just talked with along the way, they've almost
all been great people. There's something about getting out of the
crowds of the city and into the woods that makes one value human
contact again.
