In regards to the lack of minorities on the PCT, there are no roadblocks
stopping them from going on any trails in U.S. or in Canada. It's a matter
of lifestyle choices. The cost of good, light equipment may be high, but not
in comparison to say a car or home. Why try to impose our set of values on
others? Minorites are also scarce on shorter trails where the only
requirement is a pair of shoes and good strong feet.
