The best trail names are given to thru-hikers by other thru-hikers. ( like 
the Minnisota Massocist, three hikers doing 25 miles a day to finish before 
they had to start the fall quarter )  or the K2 kids, ( 2 guys who wore 
gaiters and walked with ice axes through all the mojave desert ) or the 
unforunates ( 4 guys who were almost burnt alive in their tent when refilling 
a hot stove and who would contantly fight like 2 year olds)  Snow level is 
still around 4,000ft. in Olympics and Wash. Cascades. P.s. I used Poncho on 
my thru- hike which worked well, (no need for zippered armpits for sweaty 
hikers)
