I don't know snow depth at 6,000 ft on MT Jefferson but at Santiam Pass elevation 4800 ft there was still 4-6 ft. of snow on the PCT on Thursday 7/1. Last weekend I made it to about 5800 ft on the Scott Pass Trail on the North side of  North Sister about a mile from its junction with the PCT.  I turned back because the blazes on the trees were still buried under snow. 8-10ft in places.
