Add a poly mesh side pocket, sewn on three sides with the top elasticized so
the poles could be strapped to the side of the pack or slid under the side
compression straps and held in place by the mesh pocket.
Make one of your outside pockets of the open weave poly mesh so you could put
wet things in to dry while you walk.
Quest Outfitters of Florida sells poly mesh fabric as well as tons of other
sewing goodies. Their number is 800-359-6931.
