Dear Bob,

Busted 800 miles today! Yahoo! This calls for a celebration.  How about a tequilla and Old Time Lemonaide mix--my regular goodnight toddy!  Great day today- Finally left the San Gabrielles behind, and now into the real Mohave.  What was terrible weather on the last ridges of the San Gabrielles (mist, hurricane winds and rain) is now giving us a beatuiful cool overcast late afternoon.  The trip has been absolutely wonderful.  I'm now traveling with two regulars, Jeremy and Ryan.  Hope all is well with you--
