It was the folks who run the campground there who
said they will hold packages. -NOT a pack outfit.

Subject: [pct-l] Onion Valley/Kearsarge mail drop

I spoke to the outfit that runs the campground at Onion Valley/Kearsarge
pass trailhead campground today.

They said that they will pickup and hold mail drops at the campground for
$10/package. They said they have a bear and mouse proof storage area.

The campground will open on Memorial day weekend.

They need to receive the package at the post office at least a week before
you need it at the trailhead, since they only go into town once a week.

Mail your package to:

MT Recreation Services
P.O.Box 430
Big Pine CA, 93513

Be sure to label it "for pickup at Onion Valley Campground" and include a
$10 check and an expected pickup date.
