I have an address for Lynne Whelden that I got off his video, How to Hike
the Pacific Crest Trail. The address is: 90 E. Union St., Canton, PA 17724.
Also, I highly recommend the video. The video consists of interviews with
PCT thru-hikers and section hikers.  The interviews are conducted in trail
towns, mostly in Cascade Locks, OR.  Whelden does a great job of contrasting
different hiking styles. An interview with an ultra light, sneaker wearing,
high mileage hiker will be immediately followed by an interview with a
traditional boot wearing, external frame pack carrying 100 mile per week
backpacker. While Whelden is obviously an ultra light hiker, he presents all
view points. He does demonstrate some of his own techniques and gear,
including the backpack.
The video also has some rather comical scenes. At one point a hiker is
describing how she rarely uses DEET while constantly slapping herself to
kill bugs. The video is over 4 1/2 hours and well worth the $40 that the
PCTA charges.
