[pct-l] Mt. Whitney conditions ??

Hurricane Helen has crossed the Mojave and is now approaching Kennedy Meadows.  Thru hiker Will from Davis is ahead by a day or so, also Jochen (spelling?) and Doris from Germany,all maybe now beyond Kennedy Meadows, and many others no doubt now will be approaching these same areas.

Does anyone know the snow conditions at Trail Pass, Mt. Whitney, and beyond?  Helen is switching back to a warmer bag and heavier tent, and ice-axe and crampons, but uncertain about what to expect.

Any info about trail conditions ahead would be very welcome.  Thanks in advance for any info.
