Re: [pct-l] Independence resupply
It is my understanding that there are no bear boxes from Kearsarge Pass on
down to the trailhead; you are required to have a bear canister on that
side of the pass if you over night camp. The bear problems on that side of
the pass are also bad enough that the rangers ask you not to leave your
pack even for a minute (I guess that means pee with pack) All the bear
boxes are on the West side of Kearsage Pass as far as I know.
Seems like Brick mentioned that there were going to be campground hosts
that would hold packages (????)
