[pct-l] opinions please

I've been shopping for a water filter and had pretty much decided on a
PUR pioneer. But... almost to a man or woman, the store personnel have
said the Pioneer is not durable enough for a long trip like this 1700
miles that I'm doing. Clearly the Pioneer wins in filter replacement cuz
of that nice little disks. I know filters have ben talked about before
but I'd like to get a consolidated group of input around this issue. So
let her rip, everyone. What's your opinion on a PUR Hiker vs. a PUR Pioneer?

Thanks in advance.

Enjoy the day.

Namaste, m
