[pct-l] RE: Sawyer Extractor, Stephanson tent

The Sawyer Extractor looks like a big yellow syringe. It comes with a bunch
of different shaped cups that attach to the end of the pump and fit over the
snake bite (insect sting, bite, etc.). To use it, you pull out the handle,
center the pump over the bite, and push the handle in. It creates a suction
that helps draw venom out of the wound.

I found mine at an sporting goods store.

With regards to the slippery floor, I made little spots on the floor with
silicon caulk. They seem to help some. I don't think you have to cover the
entire floor... just enough so your pad doesn't slip around.

Of course, you could always sew some velcro strips into the floor and then
glue the matching strip to your sleeping pad! :-)
