Smuggler 50 Mile Trail Race (near San Diego)
Sunday, March 21, 1999
6:30 a.m. start at Lake Morena Park, Campo, CA

A trail race on the Pacific Crest Trail, starting with
a 6 mile out-back, followed by a 44 mile out-back.  7
aid stations at 6-7 mile intervals.  Trail is mostly
rock free, with 4 major climbing sections. About 5500
ft. of climb, elevations range from 2300 to 3450 ft.

Post-race food/soda will be provided. Drop bags at miles
12, 19, and 37.  Showers, bathroom, and camping are
available at Lake Morena.  Entry fee is $15.  No awards or
t-shirts will be given.

This race will count in the Southern California Ultra Series.
Maps, directions, and confirmation of entry will be sent
to anyone entering prior to March 15.  Finishers certificate
to all runners who complete the course in under 13.5 hours.
