You and Jack Stephenson {(; Seriously, the last two (2) moles I had cut off
my leg were pre-melanoma ); I would NOT hike in shorts. I would get a pair
of lightweight nylon pants. After a day's hiking you'll be amazed at the
shit stuck to them.

One way to hike in the desert is keep your skin covered and your hat wet.
