I went over Kearsarge in 1997 and will go back out it in 1999. It is one of
the most beautiful views in the Sierra. Though not a "Wilderness
Experience" it is still lovely. It is a great! one-day hike for small
children. Less than 2 1/2 miles and you have a lovely lake and flat camping
-- perfect for kids! The pack station is not active, mostly dunnage, so the
trail is good.
