I hope that Schaeffer is wrong but I won't find out until this summer when
I exaustively way-point map North Glacier Pass, then actually try to walk
this route [anybody out there done this?].

In the meantime anyone who is taking a GPS thru the sierra ought to look at
the terrain as well as the electronics. [Electronic gadgets are not a
substitute for good sense]
