Hike your own hike!!  :-)) 

I won't "endorse" your hike - but it doesn't sound like something
that'll damage the trail - well, maybe you'd want to leave the 4WD at
home. Wouldn't want you accused of being a "yellow-blazer" now, would
we? :-))
