I should had added the following.  "RenMan" on the AT-L sent me the
following message after my original AT-L posting (quoted without permission,
but I don't think he'll mind):

	You can put the flame out by just moving the stand and
	sitting your pot down onto the can. Works great.

He's right.

I suspect this will only work if the can has a completely flush rim (like
the 3oz uncut tuna can this stove uses).
