Use mineral  oil for pump cups on stoves with pumps to keep them from drying
out. Very cheap, #1 choice for Optimus stoves (should work great for MSRs) If
you use alot of Kerosene and are going to buy a new stove, check out the
Optimus Explorer muti-fuel stove. Burns Kero better than MSR because of the
way kero is vaporized (in chamber and not in tube) no carbon built up. If you
use mainly white gas, stick with MSR , its a tad hotter and lighter.
