This is usually the case for northbounders. But I was surprised to 
discover this year that a large number of southbounders don't take this 
trail. The number one reason - they get lost trying to find it, give up, 
and take the PCT out of town instead. Here's the best thing to remember: 
just beyond where you pass under the interstate, look closely for signs 
on BOTH sides of the road. The access to Eagle Creek will be a right 
turn, after which you'll closely parallel the highway for more than 2 
miles. The other option is to hitch that section.
