I saw a photo of Tyvek Man while stopping over at the chic resort known as
Uncle Johnny's, and can confirm that the pack did appear to be made of the
stuff. Actually, it looked more like aluminum foil, real shiney and crinkly.
I suppose one could fashion a pack from Tyvek if they were inclined to do
so. But it must be more prone to punctures than standard 1.9 oz ripstop
nylon. And if one makes their pack small and of minimal features, I can't
imagine that the weight difference is significant.
Anyone know how well Tyvek holds thread?
