A variation of Ray J.'s recommendation of corn pasta I have found is dried
dog food!  Soak it (I have found Purina's Top Breed to be best) in boiling
water until it makes a brown mush and simply salt to taste!  That's all
there is to it!  It tastes great, it is light weight, the bears won't go
near it but I have had a few encounters with coyote!

Put a 50 pound bag in your through box and just take out what you need!  50
pounds will last about as long as people think you ought to be locked up for.
