I agree with your idiot faction. However, the trouble is that the idiot
faction is training the bears to be more agressive. For example: Some bear
charges my son because some idiot game him food when he [the bear] did that
in the past.

This is mostly hardcore. We know how to hang food and will not be sloppy. A
bear charge won't panic us. We don't bury garbage. What percentage of the
backpacking population qualifies -- 25% ?

To me bear boxs work well. They save the idiots and concentrate them in
particular areas that I can avoid if I want to.
