[pct-l] Scott & Beth Murdock

Hikers,

I received a telephone call from Beth & Scott Murdock of Portland, OR  this
morning. They had spent the night at Castle Crags State Park in Castella, CA
(Map P-1 in the PCT Guide).

They were unable to complete Section "O" (Burney Falls to Castle Crags) and
decided to leave the trail (turned back) before reaching Grizzly Peak.

Their current plan is to drive to Ashland, OR and begin hiking north again.

Both seemed happy and healthy and appear to be enjoying their trip even though
(like other hikers), it has not turned out to be the "thru-hike" they
anticipated.
