[pct-l] Washington State Permits

Michael
>Any permit requirements on the Stevens Pass to

Permits are required in the Lake Chelan National Recreation Area. You cross
into the Rec area about 8 miles south of High Bridge on the PCT, so to avoid a
permit just camp outside the Rec area and hike to High Bridge to catch the
park service bus to Stehekin. You can get a premit at the vistor center in
Stehekin if you need to camp around Stehekin or if you are headed further
north on the PCT to Rainy Pass.
It is a beautiful hike, my wife and I did the northern half of WA two years
ago and in that section we were rained on every day but one, then it snowed
about six inches on us. Enjoy
