[pct-l] Auga Dulce Mail Drop

Jethro and Daisy May reached Auga Dulce today and retrieved the box I'd
sent them to the Century 21 address. They recommend against using the
Century 21 address as the hours, though posted are erratic and often not
followed. Send boxes for Auga Dulce to the Canyon Market instead. =

Additionally, there is a trailer about a mile from town that the owners
permit hikers to stay in free of charge. They said it is a great (and
cheap! place to spend the night).

On the trail from Wrightwood, they encounted quite a bit of snow. They
hiked without crampons or snowshoes, but ice axes were out and at the
ready. They were frequently used. They hike the ridge up to Mt. Baden
Powell and spent the night at the peak - a gorgeous one too. From the pe=
ak
to Islip Saddle, it was completely in snow.

They depart in the morning for the Mojave drop and remain undecided about=

continuing past Kennedy Meadows.
