[pct-l] JMT in Aug-Sept

To avoid some of the hair-raising conditions described on the list as likely
on July starts on the JMT this year, I was planning on starting about Aug. 30
going from north to south. I will probably be going solo and would like to not
take an ice axe. Will stream crossings and passes be any problem at that time
of year. How about early storms? I would appreciate any advice. Thanks, Bob
